1980 35th Class Reunion

Review by Diane (Begunoff) Venti

The Class of 1980 continues to keep in good contact with one another. We enjoyed an informal 35th reunion last June 5th 2015 at C&P Coffee House in West Seattle. The turnout was great, with close to 100 in attendance on a beautiful summer night the day before the All School Reunion. We enjoyed snacks, mingling, and a ‘No Host’ coffee, wine, & beer service provided by the good folks at C&P. The highlight of the evening was when the W.S.H.S. band showed up to surprise all of us in attendance with a fabulous street performance that had been secretly organized by our classmate Dow Constantine. It was a wonderful night to remember past friendships, classmates no longer with us, and catch up with what is new with each other and our families. We found that we are all at varying stages; so many of our classmates are having grand-kids while some of us still have babies, and all ages & stages in between. Some classmates were starting new businesses, while others were starting to look towards retirement! There was a lot to talk about, and many photos to share! We all agreed that we must continue to get together more often and less formally. There was an overriding sense of ‘family’ and Westside pride being felt for sure. Looking forward to our next get together!
